com/watch?v=aHiGECvlytE Primary Purpose: Weld metal parts together using specified wire welding processes.
General Description: Use Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies in an efficient manner to maximize production of a variety of garbage truck models.
Essential Duties Use Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies in an efficient manner to maximize ship outs.
Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
Weld vertical, flat and overhead with good penetration.
Other Duties Operate the equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operations to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.
Operate plasma cutter and acetylene torches.
Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skill, and Knowledge 1 year preferred in welding or fabrication.
Good communication.
Math skills including fractions and angles.
Read tape measure and angle finder.
Read blueprints and cut lists.
