Job Summary:
As a Truck Driver on our team, you will be asked to operate a Lowboy, Dump Truck, and Side Dump.
The tractors will be used in heavy construction task such as: hauling rock, sand, dirt, demo materials, metals, and heavy equipment.
The heavy equipment is transported primarily with a 4 axle lowboy trailer.
Most work is in town and not many long hauls.
Most of our work stays in a 60 mile radius of our shop.
The job is seasonal full-time.
Avg.
seasonal layoff is generally from early December to mid to late March, depending on weather and workload.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform proper start up/shut down and walk around procedures
Be able to operate safely in town and close quarters
Know how to properly chain down equipment according to DOT specs.
Know rated and legal load limits
Accurately complete time cards
Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at job site
Follow Supervisor’s instructions closely
Skills and Abilities:
Be able to carry chains to tie down equipment
Be able to back into tight areas on sites
Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements
Qualifications:
Class A CDL
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Effectively handle lifting of various objects
Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit
Work extended hours in a variety of weather conditions
Most work is in a 60 mile radius of our shop
Some travel and Saturday work maybe required
