SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work safely at all times following all safety policies and procedures
• Using required PPE
• As a food safety qualified individual to work in an animal food plant, you will be trained to comply with all FDA regulations for cGMP’s and job specific responsibilities to mitigate the risk of all known or reasonably foreseeable food safety hazards.
• Subscribes to 6S Standards (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety)
• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
• Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
• Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Support Safety goals within department by encouraging employees to utilize STOP program
• Identifying and implementing ways to better improve machine performance, and preventative maintenance
• Support Technicians goals of identifying process improvement
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises up to 4 Technicians in Maintenance.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Basic Microsoft Office skills a plus
Hours Monday through Wednesday 4:00 pm - 4:00 am and Thursday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
