Summary/Objective
The CNC inventory tech position manages purchased and worked steel through a database and maintains levels required on a daily basis to meet production demands.
The position also receives, stores, and distributes material throughout the warehouse and production ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Learns the inventory layout and locations
Learns the basic Epicor skills: Looking up parts, Part Tracker, PO Tracker, Job Tracker, Time Phase, etc
Learns basic inventory and material movement skills: Cycle counts, receiving parts, inventory movement, kitting and picking sales orders and next operational jobs
Assists in receiving and unloading trucks
Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Receives, picks and issues material to shop jobs and to inventory
Troubleshoots quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel including cycle counts and traveler pick lists.
Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
Prepares and participates in yearly physical inventory.
Sweeps, dust, and mop.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
Wear proper safety equipment.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, box cutters and tape dispensers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6 a.
m.
to 5 p.
m.
Occasionally, may be required to work weekends.
Travel
On occasion, may travel during the business day to make a delivery.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous warehouse experience.
Knowledge of industry
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
For positions that require driving, must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
