Job Summary
Responsible for creating accurate and timely financial records for the company, which includes preparing accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the company.
Summary of Essential Job
Functions
Maintains financial records for company by analyzing and inputting information in the balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortizations prepaid; analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
Prepares financial statements and support schedules according to corporate timelines.
Performs and assists with monthly, quarterly and annual closing duties.
Extended work hours during closing may be required.
Analyze expenses on a monthly basis and monitor budget plans.
Provides financial status information by preparing special reports; completing special projects.
Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance
Correct errors by posting adjusting journal entries.
Secures financial information by completing database backups;
Maintains accounting controls by following company policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Managing internal control processes by following company policies and procedures; complying K-SOX (South Korean internal control standard)
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge of General Ledger practices;

SAP experience;
Ability to work extended hours beyond the normal work schedule during closings and audits, as needed;
Ability to meet deadlines;
Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
Bilingual in Korean and English language is preferred;
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work Schedule: Monday– Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, however business needs may require additional hours worked.
Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 95% of shift;
This position operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and fax machines;
No travel is expected for this position;
This position does not have supervisor the work of others;
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field & 0-2 years of directly related experience
OR
Associate’s degree & 4 years of directly related experience
OR
High School diploma/GED & 6 years of directly related experience
Bilingual in Korean and English language is preferred;
SAP experience preferred;
